Just when you think life goes back to normal after a flurry of festivities comprising of Christmas, New Year and our inaugural Invest Vision event last weekend, the Chinese Lunar New Year will be upon us next week!
We would like to cordially inform that the New Union Singapore office will be closed from the 8th - 11th February 2016. During this period, we will observe a period of rest and rejuvenation so that we can serve all of you better in 2016. Please be informed that fund transfer updates will only be reflected earliest on Friday, the 12th February 2016. Rest assured, your portfolio managers will still remain contactable in this festive period.
In other recent news, the headlines of China's eZuBao ponzi scandal broke. Understandably, all of you have shown concern about this issue that tarred the image of the nascent crowdfunding industry. We are grateful for your kind patience and understanding during this trying time.
Here at New Union, we started with the vision of being an SME enabler. We strive everyday to become a better platform so that SMEs can leverage on technology to seek financing and be able to scale even more. And we're doing our very best to make that vision a reality; one that would not only help SMEs, but also to you, as an investor seeking for a more stable and safe asset class.
In fact, to ensure that your funds are managed in the most transparent manner, we sought to establish an MAS-licensed escrow account. After many months of due diligence work, discussions and negotiations, we are proud to report that as of last week, we have signed an escrow agreement with Vistra, a MAS-licensed Trust Company. This means, that you as an investor will see greater transparency with your funds in New Union.
To end off, we wish to reaffirm our pledge to the spirit of crowdfunding through our SME enabler role and are honoured to have all of you with us in this journey.
On behalf of New Union Singapore's management and staff, we would like to wish all of you, our dearest partners, supporters and investors, a very Happy Lunar New Year. May all of you have a most huat and 猴 seh time in the year of the Monkey!
Meanwhile, here’s a special Lunar New Year song we’ve put together for you! Special thanks to Clicknetwork.tv for granting permission to use the original song written by Don Richmond.
